Preventing Wire Theft on Construction Sites

AdpearanceArrests & Apprehensions

Loss of materials due to fire damage or theft can be incredibly expensive for contractors at job sites. While we can’t stop all environmental threats and suspicious activity from happening, we can catch it early enough to make sure it doesn’t turn into a loss. Just before 6 a.m. on Sunday, December 2, an operator in our Verification Center dispatched a security guard service and the Tacoma police department to a construction site near downtown Tacoma after receiving motion activations from the site’s storage area. The real-time video let the operator see a person carrying wire on the site. The operator dispatched the security service, based on an earlier arrangement with the site owners, and then dispatched Tacoma PD. Both police and the security service arrived and found a person who matched the operator’s description. The suspect was arrested for burglary. The construction site security camera footage was also sent to the police for additional verification. This apprehension is one of many that led to the police capture of suspects on construction sites in the Pacific Northwest. Our verified technology allows our team of highly-trained operators to be sure that your home, business or construction site is in danger from fire or intruders. This reduces false alarms and takes difficult decisions off your shoulders, as well as ensuring a stronger relationship with police.
