Top Arrests of 2013 : Number 5

AdpearanceArrests & Apprehensions

With five days left in 2013 (can you believe it?), we are looking back at our accomplishments. We broke our personal arrest record with 62 arrests (and counting), but thought it would be fun to pick the most memorable five to celebrate! Taking spot number five on our countdown is our May 19 apprehension at a Seattle construction job site. At 4 p.m., Robin Goings in our Verification Center received multiple motion viewer activations showing a man on the site. It was a Sunday and Robin knew that no workers were going to be there that day. He dispatched Seattle PD, and shortly after he received video of the suspect pulling wire. Robin called the site responder to let him know what was going on. Then, a police officer called Robin to ask for the video footage that prompted the dispatch, in order to identify the suspect. The officer reported that they had arrested a known thief with prior warrants. Robin emailed the video, and the following day the officer called back to say that the “timeliness of the video evidence helped make the burglary arrest and booking into jail possible.”
